Mechanical characterization of CLT elements

Experimental investigation commissioned by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), aimed at the mechanical characterization of the CLT panels
made of tulipwood (Liriodendron tulipifera) to be used for the realization of the Endless Stair (http://www.londondesignfestival.com/endless-stair) installed outside Tate Modern on the occasion of London Design Festival 2013.
Timbertech supervised the preparation of test specimens, the delamination tests, the design and interpretation of tests to determine the resistance to shear rolling of the panels.
