30/04/2015 Solver update – walls that bypass levels

In the latest version of the software, we added the following new features:

  • Solver update: added the possibility to model walls that “skip” one or more floors. Specifically, a ceiling slab can be supported by walls that have base nodes belonging to levels lower than that of the floor immediately below. This allows to significantly expand the number of cases that can be modeled with the software.

20/04/2015 Design of CLT ceilings

In the latest version of the software, we added the following new features:

  • Check of CLT ceilings: now you can design CLT ceiling elements. The calculation can be performed either according to the following hypothesis:
    • – Deformable connection: the calculation model adopted is that of mechanically jointed beams with deformable connection in accordance with Appendix B of EN 1995-1-1. The shear flexibility of the transverse layers is considered using the Gamma-method: namely with Möhler theory for CLT panel having up to 3 layers oriented in the direction of calculation and with Shelling theory for CLT panel having more than 3 layers oriented in the direction of calculation.
    • – Non-deformable connection: the calculation model adopted is that of mechanically jointed beams with non-deformable connection. The shear flexibility of the transverse layers is not considered.
